Day 6: Cincinnati: We took a boat from across the river in Kentucky to the ballpark and I got to meet Rosie Red. The Reds beat the Phillies, 11-2.
Day 7: Cleveland: We toured Cleveland on Lolly the Trolley where we learned that the city was originally built on a smelly swamp. The founder lived in the area for only 90 days. Then we went to Progressive Field, where the Mariners beat the Indians, 9-3. The statue below is of Bob Feller, nicknamed “The Heater from Van Meter.” He was from Van Meter, Iowa.
