Day 4: Boston: Our 4th stop on the trip was Boston. I have been to Boston several times and I love it – especially the seafood and history. While it was my third time to Fenway Park, it was the first time there for the rest of the crew. The Red Sox came back and scored 8 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to beat the A’s, 7-4. After the game, we drove up to Maine to have New England clam chowder and lobster for dinner. It was delicious!
Day 5: Pittsburgh: I went to a baseball game at PNC Park in 2013 and was excited to return because is one of my favorite MLB stadiums (Milwaukee being the other). PNC Park feels Wrigley Field-esque but has all the amenities of a modern ballpark, including lots of food vendors and restrooms. The view over the outfield in PNC Park is top notch! This was our rainiest night. We waited through one rain delay but left during the second rain delay (after the bottom of the 7th inning) and watched the rest of the game from the hotel. The Brewers beat the Pirates, 2-0.
